Hello! I'm Melanie, a certified herbalist, birth + postpartum doula, and the creator behind Wildcraft Birth & Botanicals.

My journey into herbalism and birth work began as a personal path toward healing. As I worked to balance my hormones, step away from birth control, and reconnect with my body’s rhythms, I was drawn deeper into the wisdom of plants and the innate intelligence of the body. What started as self-study evolved into years of formal education and mentorship—and a desire to walk alongside others during some of life’s most tender transitions.

Today, I offer both handcrafted herbal goods and doula care through Wildcraft Birth & Botanicals. My birth and postpartum work is grounded in presence, compassion, and a respect for each person's unique needs and choices. Whether I'm supporting someone through labor, offering a nourishing meal in the early days of postpartum, or preparing an herbal remedy for hormone support, I approach this work with care and intention.

With a background in product development and a lifelong love of gardening, home remedies, and wellness practices, I’ve grown a deep respect for how herbal medicine can support daily life. Wildcraft Birth & Botanicals brings together this passion—offering products and services that are both personal and practical.

I also lead macrame workshops, where I share the meditative rhythm of working with natural fibers—a quiet, creative space that invites reflection and connection.

Outside of my work, I love hiking and backpacking in the mountains with my husband and dogs, cooking nourishing meals, and metalsmithing one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.

I believe in the body’s ability to heal when given time, attention, and care—and I’m honored to be part of that process for others.

I am not a doctor and do not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
